Our logo depicts the mauve of the Pembina Hills, the blue background of the western shore of ancient Lake Agassiz, stalks of golden grain of our agricultural community, prairie crocus of the Manitoba's floral emblem and deer antlers of our abundant local wildlife.

As a Rural Municipality we serve our residents in the towns of Miami and Rosebank as well as the surrounding area.
Population: 1518 as a 2021 Census including Town of Miami: 464
Geographically the R.M. of Thompson covers approximately 198 square miles within the Pembina Valley Region. A unique area encompassing the escarpment provides many varying landscapes and breathtaking views.

Economically Farming is the main activity however, a variety of clubs and events made possible by the work of dedicated community volunteers, with the assistance of The RM of Thompson, help to keep community facilities available.
